OUR MISSION

"It is the mission of the Westchester Streetscape Improvement Association to work cooperatively and interactively with the community, elected officials and state, federal and local agencies to enhance, beautify and improve local streetscapes, resulting in a better environment for both the commercial and the residential areas of Westchester."

About WSIA

The vision for Westchester is a warm, inviting community ...
safe and energizing, where people can live, work, shop and play.

The plan for the residential district of Sepulveda is to be pedestrian-friendly. Our sidewalks must be safe to walk on and attractive. Colorful landscaping shall add warmth and proper lighting shall provide safety. The vision includes being able to walk to the shops and entertainment at the Howard Hughes Center as well as the Sepulveda business district.

The vision for Westchester's downtown business district includes parking pockets allowing residents and visitors to park on Sepulveda and visit outdoor restaurants while shopping at a variety of shops. Businesses will begin to turn themselves around, adding front entries to Sepulveda and making it a more convenient and pleasant shopping experience.

The WSIA team around the "Welcome to Westchester" Sign.

What was once merely a thoroughfare to LAX will soon take on a more intimate small town feel.
