OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

From our beginnings in the late 1990's our sole purpose has been very simple. As a community volunteer organization our mission is to work cooperatively and interactively with the community, elected officials, and state, federal, and local agencies to enhance, and improve local streetscapes, which resulted in a better environment for both the commercial and the residential areas of Westchester. You may have seen our work throughout the community for the past two decades, and as a result, your quality of life here has been enhanced...greatly!

TREES IN TRIANGLE
The commercial area bounded by Manchester Avenue, La Tijera Boulevard, Truxton Avenue and Sepulveda Eastway is known as the Westchester Triangle. For years the main street and the surrounding streets in this retail area had no visual appeal.

WSIA, working with the Los Angeles Bureau of Public Works and the Westchester Town Center Business Improvement District, spearheaded the planting of 86 street trees in and around the borders of the Triangle.
Sidewalks were repaired to increase the safety of pedestrians and the visual appearance of the area.

Now the customers, retailers and property owners are enjoying a pedestrian friendly shopping area.
