CURRENT PROJECTS

The good news is, we have developed the know-how to beautify Westchester!
We have established the political presence, and the relationships necessary to move our work along. We have the designs and bids in place to see yet another example of blight in our community turned into something beautiful, and useful. And you and your families can easily participate in making life in Westchester as good as it can get!

Come to a WSIA meeting and discover what we are all about!

RESIDENTIAL SEPULVEDA BOULEVARD
The strip lot project, known as Phase II, is to replace the sidewalks in the residential section of Sepulveda Blvd. The roots of the ficus trees have made the sidewalks unusable.

The project calls for removing all the street trees, installing a decorative meandering sidewalk where space allows and carrying the decorative motif into the areas where straight sidewalks exist. The new street trees will be the same species used in the landscape of the remodeled Sepulveda Blvd. in the Town Center. The strip lots will get a new landscape plan using the same planting vocabulary that was used in the Sepulveda Blvd landscaping.

WSIA was honored to have received funding from our Congresswoman Maxine Waters for this project.
Rendering of the Beautification

We thank the Congresswoman for her interest and assistance in improving our community with sidewalks on which it is safe to walk. When completed this will provide a pleasant walking experience for the community.
