VAN HARDING

Van Harding began attending WSIA Board meetings in 2015 after retiring from Boeing with 47 years of service. He officially became a board member in 2017. During Van’s last 16 years at Boeing, he was Manager of Estimating and Pricing, responsible for Cost Proposals for Government Satellite Programs.

He moved to Westchester in 1946 shortly after being born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended Visitation School and upon graduation from Loyola High School attended Loyola Marymount University where he majored in Economics. He later received an MBA in Finance from the University of Southern California.

He and his wife Benni raised three children in Westchester and were active in their local schools and sports programs. He was on the Visitation School Advisory Council and was actively involved in Del Rey Little League fundraising.

Van’s interest in landscaping and overall improvement of the Westchester Community environment led him to join the Westchester Streetscape Improvement Association.
